Rihanna Hopes That Her Newest Album, "R8" Comes Out Very Soon + Maybe A Possible Secret Release?
Rihanna still hasn't released one single, and I'm sure The Navy has been going crazy for weeks. During a Meet & Greet in Atlanta, she told one of her fans that we could be expecting the album, at least by the end of this year. In her latest interview, she says, "Very Soon. That's My hope," as the interviewer asks her, when we could be expecting, "R8."
I've never bought one Rihanna album in my whole life. I think she's a very pretty girl, but that's all I see in her. She's a girl who knows how to make a hit, but that's all it is to it. I'm glad she's excited for this project, but I'm hoping she actually brings it this time. I want some more creativity from this project, compared to her last project, and I want her to release something soon. Right now, I'm just at the point, where I think she's either releasing this album next year, or making it a surprise release. Many people see her as Beyonce's competition, only because, she's a black popular female artist, who has the same amount of fame as Beyonce.
The only reason I'm really not looking forward to a surprise release, is because it's just not a good look on Rihanna as an artist. The beyhive feels Beyonce owns the "Surprise Release" with albums, so if another artist plans on doing the same, they automatically think they're trying to jack Beyonce's style. I'm sure "The Navy" is getting tired of hearing "Soon" just as much as I am. I'm not even a fan, but I'm still waiting to see what she has in store, because I wanna give her a try, this year, to expand my music taste. All I wish is that with this new album, Rihanna goes back to her R&B roots, and makes a break-up song like "Take A Bow" or an electronic-pop song like, "Where Have You Been."
Where do you guys think Rihanna is going with this album? No info on a release date, no tracklist...She's been very secretive with the album. Couldn't this only mean one thing? Take a look at the interview Rihanna had with ET below for yourself:
