Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

K. Michelle Sings Her Heart Out, In Her Fourth Single, "Going Under" + Does Well On iTunes Charts:

This week, K. Michelle released her special fourth single from her newest album, "Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart." I wanna just say I'm so glad I gave K. Michelle a chance, in regards to her music, because her voice is very beautiful.

In the new single, K. Michelle sings about her past relationships, and how she's doesn't want love to fail her anymore. As much as I do like K. Michelle now, It's always hard to give her new music a chance, because she's been going a good direction, and I'm always worried, there's gonna be that one single that messes it all up for me.

Honestly, I'm biting nails when I click to hear one of K. Michelle's new tracks, because I'm nervous, excited, and curious. Anyway, I actually enjoyed the new track, because K. Michelle did just what she said. She wanted to work on an organic sound. Something that was just new and fresh, and I think this is impressive, since she's only on her second upcoming album. It's a beautiful song, and it has a clear pop-rock type of vibe to it. It was very appealing to me, as a listener. I was really feeling the emotion, and ... at the moment, I wouldn't say it tops her 2nd single, "Maybe I Should Call," but kudos to her, because she's doing great. I'm pretty sure she already has one of the greatest albums this year. I see how hard she's working with this new material, just from what I hear.

Grade: 6.8/10

BONUS: K. Michelle released on insagram that her new single, "Going Under" was at #1 on the R&B Charts, and #9 mainstream overall.
