Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Snapshots: Jazmine Sullivan Releases Her "Reality Show" Album Art And The Date On Instagram:

Recently on instagram, the 27 year old singer and songwriter, Jazmine Sullivan, released some snapshots of the booklet and album cover for "Reality Show." I think it's weird how this isn't getting the attention or credit it deserves, since she's doing some new things with her upcoming project, "Reality Show."

Jazmine shared that her album is coming out on 1/13/15, which got me a little upset, because for a minute, I was thinking Jazmine was saying she planned on releasing it on 2016, but I totally forgot that 2014 is almost over. Wow. I like the date, but Jazmine really needs some more airplay before releasing this album. I want some more promo, because she's been missing out on some of her chances.

This could possibly just be a studio album, where she just does it for the love of music, or just as a special gift for the fans, but I would like some type of reminder, before I start complaining. Jazmine is on to her third single, which means she really needs to step up her game.. Not saying the quality to the music isn't nice, because Jazmine is bringing something fresh to the game, but it's not getting the attention or airplay, and I guess, what I'm saying is, we can't really blame Jazmine. Her visuals are very low budget lately, and she's not out there promoting, but that's because of her management I guess. I mean, at least, not at any big events. I'll be picking up this album most definitely. I totally wish she would release it before, Christmas, but like I said, that involves a lot of promo as well.

Now, with this album cover, it's very expected. It's not bad. It's cool. What I'm saying, when I say it was expected, is that I expected Jazmine's face on a TV. I never understood the story to that title, but ... Jazmine's album. "As long as the music quality is on point, and it is!" I wish Jazmine would make a few changes with the cover though. Though I expected it, I did want a little surprise, and I'm sure there's gonna be that one good picture in the booklet, where fans are like, "Why didn't she use this for the cover?" She could even use the "Mascara" single cover. I honestly don't care. Right now, the way I see it, based on promo is, she may make an appearance on "The Real" and "The Wendy Williams Show." Also, she may do a few radio appearances, but I wouldn't. Those are wasteful in my opinion, unless she plans on going to "The Breakfast Club," but they usually like people who start a lot of controversy, so her interviews wouldn't exactly get enough publicity, but she definitely has the talent.

(SIDENOTE: Please don't open up the album with Dumb. Use Mascara) Take a look at the album cover below. What do you think of the album art, and will you be buying the album?
