Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Immature Releases Their Second Single, "Own It" + Begin Teasing Details About Album And Tour:

Earlier this year, Immature surprised fans with their big return, and also made a statement, announcing that we could be expecting new material from the trio soon, and that they will be hitting the road before we know it. Believe it or not, Immature has already released the special details.

From the release of the new album, to when we could be expecting them to hit the road. Before Christmas, Immature surprised their fans with their second official single, "Own It." I already got a chance to take a listen to the track, and I actually like the direction this trio is going with their material. I like the fact that they aren't trying to hard to fit in with today's mainstream type of music, which is Pop and Hip-Hop. Most of the songs today are based on sex, and money. True, the trio started out at a young age, so I'm sure they still know a little bit about this generation's type of music, but they give their music a nostalgic feel to it, which keeps fans wanting more.

Many lovers of R&B, have been asking for an organic sound, with a mix of nostalgia, and that's just the taste I get with this track. Overall, it's a decent track from the group, and I won't judge too harshly, since this is just the second single. They did have strong material for the first single. The new release of their album, "Forever" will be set in May 2015, and the fellas plan to hit the road around the summer.
