Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Rihanna Releases Snapshots Of Her Return Back To The Studio + Beyonce Causing Pressure For R8?

Many fans hoped for the release of #R8 around the week of Christmas, but as we can all see, that never happened, and on top of that, she's actually still in the studio working on new material. Rihanna recently shared snapshots of her return to the studio, with the caption saying, "brought work heauxm." For fans to predict her album coming soon, maybe you should tone the excitement. I honestly did think Rihanna would be somewhat done by now, but the way it seems... It's like she's just getting started on the work of this project.

Sources released that Beyonce's project has caused a lot of pressure for Rihanna's R8, and that she possibly sees Beyonce as her rival. Ne-Yo also recently revealed this information during an interview with Capital Xtra. Rihanna has yet to respond to the rumors.

Now, in my opinion, that's probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I don't believe she sees Beyonce as competition, even though a lot of people seem to state this all the time. Sure, they have the same level of success, but their music style is no where similar. If this album plans out to be similar to Beyonce's self-titled visual album, I'm telling "The Navy" right now, it won't be good, because first of all, that means Rihanna is trying way to hard to reach a style similar to Beyonce. I mean, I think it's best if Rihanna keeps this project, going the path she likes.

Just from snippets, I like the direction she's going with the project, so I wouldn't worry about these rumors. Overall..I definitely think Rihanna will deliever, and also.. let's keep our fingers cross that we get this project soon.
