Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Raheem DeVaughn Releases New Song, "Queen" + Plans On Releasing A New Album in February 2015!

On the 14th of September, Raheem released his first single off his newest album, "Love, Sex, And Passion." I'm a big fan of Raheem Devaughn, and his new music really hasn't been impressing me lately, but this is a hit. I think these last two years, Raheem was trying to gain a bigger audience, because he was trying new things with his music. Like, his songs were more sexual, and it was giving me a different vibe. This song reminds me of his hit song, "Woman." What he is saying is truly beauitful, and I like the path Raheem is going with this album at the moment. I hope Raheem continues to go through this path, because R&B is what he's best at. Not saying his last mixtapes and albums were bad, but it just wasn't him. It was like he was being forced to do something, he didn't wanna to. I could tell by Raheem's voice that he wasn't 100% confident with the path he was going at the time, but this song is truly beautiful. I'm definitely going to be supporting his new music if he keeps it up. In the song, Raheem sings with all his heart and soul. I think every women should hear this song, because what he's saying is so poetic and beautiful. Take a listen to his new single below, and be sure to buy his new album, "Love, Sex, And Passion" on February 2015.
