Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Hate It or Love It? Breezy Debuts Dramatic Look + Shares Details On New Joint Album With Tyga:

With a new year, means a new look, and Chris Brown is already ahead of the game, on that note. Chris Brown debuted his new look on instagram, and also announced on instagram, that he's working on a joint album with Tyga titled, "Fan of A Fan." No information has been confirmed on the release date of the album, but I can't say I'm excited this time around. I mean, this almost takes me back to Beyonce and Jay-Z announcing the "On The Run" tour.

Sure, the duo could do a few collaborations, but I'm not sure about a whole album. They recently released their first single off the joint album, "Ayo," earlier during December, but based on my predictions with that first single, I don't think this is a good direction for Chris Brown as an artist. I can't say I've heard much, or that I have much respect for Tyga as an artist, but I've noticed that him and Chris Brown have been working together a lot. It's beginning to get a little weird. Like, Tyga had a good run during the previous years of his career, but it's like Chris Brown is trying to seek success for him, once again. I will admit, Tyga did seem to have a little downfall in his career, and this could possibly be Chris's way in trying to show his support. I love the bond between these artist personally, but I wouldn't wanna this to have an effect on them musically. I think they should handle their projects seperately, and it just doesn't seem right, having a new project come so early, when Chris just released, "X" earlier last year. I'm just hoping this album doesn't contain too many "Loyal 2.0" tracks. That's just the sound I get with their first single, "Ayo," but hopefully things get better with this project.

Now, let's get on these promo pics, shall we? I wasn't actually sure if this was Chris Brown or not. I mean, the look doesn't look bad at all, even though Black Twitter has been roasting him all morning, over the new apperance:

Now, with the last tweet, I do agree. This is a fresh early 90s look, and I'm gonna say something, that no one has said yet, but the group picture with Tyga, reminds me of Kris Kross. Maybe the media, could cut some slack, and stop being dramatic, but I need a few good laughs every once in a while. Carry On! Be on the look out for "Fan To Fan" this year!

PS: Am I the only one who thinks Chris Brown looks a little younger? May have to do with him cutting his facial hair off.
