Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Ciara Blazes iTunes With Her Leading Single, "I Bet" + Previews Upcoming Acoustic Performance:

After the release of Ciara's lead single on iTunes, many were curious to know if she would have much of a boost on the charts, since she released the single, two weeks, before it was released on iTunes. The single previously sat at #49, and happens to be sitting at #40 on the overall iTunes Charts, and #3 on the R&B iTunes Charts. I must say this is impressive, since there hasn't been any official release of a music video, but Ciara has really been promoting on social media. Ciara took to instagram, earlier today, sharing her acoustic performance to the track, and while I still may not be much of a fan of the single, the acoustic performance actually sounds great, so it's pretty clear Ciara could deliver some hot live performances to the track, if she actually plans on promoting.

Her voice really blends well with an acoustic performance, because as much as I love Ciara's music, it doesn't take a genuis to know, that she isn't the greatest artist vocal-wise. I'm hoping this acoustic performance is just the beginning of the promo for this single, because I do still actually expect a visual for the track. I would also love an acoustic version set up on iTunes, during the release of the acoustic performance, because I can already tell something is going to be special about that performance vocal-wise.

Since the release, I can say, I've definitely learned to appreciate the track, and understand where Ciara was coming from lyrically more. I still will never understand those background ad-libs she adds to the track, that sort of sounds like Future, which usually comes around the hook of the track. (Am I the only one who hears it?) Be sure to buy Ciara's leading single, "I Bet" now at iTunes, and be sure to look out for "Jackie," which is scheduled to come later this year.
