Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

No "Bang Bang" In The Roof? Jessie J Set To Perform At The Grammy Awards With Tom Jones:

Jessie J has been the latest artist announced to perform at The Grammys, and I'm definitely looking forward to watching her performance. I'm usually not the kind to watch Award Shows, because I don't find much interest in them, and that's mainly in regards to the performances, and gradually beginning to become about the winners as well. That's a whole topic for a whole nother day though.

Anyway, Jessie J is set to be performing with Tom Jones, which sounds great, because if I hear about another "Bang Bang" performance, I'm gonna snap, and on top of that, the Grammys isn't even the place for "Bang Bang." I mean, at one time, the Grammys was full of marvelous and classy performances from various talented acts.. that was until "Drunk In Love" was performed last year. (Just Saying..)

I'm not very familar with Tom Jones's work, but cut some slack, because I am only 13 years old. Even if I do know a few acts from the 70s and 60s, that doesn't mean I keep up with all the artist from that time period. (Lol) Anyway, I believe they'll be performing Mockingbird, since that's the only song the duo have performed together, unless they have some new material under their sleeve. Either way, I'm watching, because I know Jessie J can deliver a performance. I really thought with Jessie J performing, it would be material from her new album, "Sweet Talker." No offense to Tom Jones, but I sort of thought this was Jessie J getting her shine, but this probably won't have much of an impact on her sales, since this most likely isn't a track from her album. Anyway, if Jessie J changes her mind on performing with this guy, I definitely have a special track in mind from the album. This has recently been my "workout jam." (Lol, okay.. not really)
