Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Snapshots: Janet Jackson Surfaces In Dubai/ Supports Brothers At New Year’s Eve Masterjam:

I think we can all agree that Janet Jackson has been out and about a lot recently.

A new picture of Janet Jackson surfaced on the internet earlier, causing fans of the pop legend, to go crazy. No information was confirmed at the time on what Janet was up to, which left fans curious. Some fans guessed she was just leaving from the recording studio, while others guessed, she was working out some details on a tour. Now, why would she have another tour, with no new music released?

To get straight to the point, Janet Jackson was leaving from her brothers show in Dubai. Janet came to show her support, at the private event. Other performers at the event included Chaka Khan and Gloria Gaynor. I hope Janet knows that the #JanFam has no time for her shenanigans. At this point, I'm sure The Navy can relate. Janet has been seen at various events, but no word on an album. NOT EVEN A SINGLE. I'm aware that she is a human being, and that she can go out occasionally, but not even a single yet. She's beginning to lose me. (Lol)

Anyway, The Jacksons performed classics including "ABC" and "Blame It On The Boogie." They also covered a few tracks from Michael Jackson, himself, including "Rock With You" and "Beat It." I'm honestly curious about how that turned out, since that wasn't actually one of their hits. Now, I know Michael Jackson died, and I'm sure his brothers feel some type of way about it, but isn't it time they stop performing his hits? It gives the group a desperate look. I honestly don't think fans of The Jacksons paid for them to perform his hits, even though I'm sure most of the fans loved him (MJ) much. I'm sure fans just wanna see The Jacksons perform their own hits. Even if Michael was still alive, I doubt he would go on tour with them. I mean, he had his own solo career going on.

Well, hopefully, Janet will be heading on stage soon, once she releases some material. I honestly miss her presence and epic performances. I went to her last show... PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST NIGHTS OF MY LIFE. I was SOOOO Close to Janet.

Anyway, I'll keep you guys updated. Check out more pictures from the show below:

For the nostalgia...
