Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

#FeelBetterJanet: Janet Jackson Postpones Tour Dates To Rest Vocal Chords

Janet Jackson took to Twitter to announce to fans that she will have to postpone her dates in Kansas City and St. Louis. She’s been ordered by her doctor to rest her vocal chords. A few fans were disappointed by the news, which led to some sending rude tweets to Janet.

I get that a fan may be disappointed, but she’s rescheduling the show.

The only fans I think should still be disappointed are those who can't make the show since she's rescheduled or those who live out of state. (If you live out of state, you may not be able to wait. For example, before Janet announced her show in Virginia, the closest state she was performing in to Virginia, was North Carolina. Since I’m a teen, my dad would have to drive me to North Carolina. If she rescheduled, I probably wouldn’t be able to see her. I’m sure my parents aren’t willing to wait in North Carolina just so I could see Janet.

I think fans should take into consideration that she’s still rescheduling the show. It’s not like she canceled the show. Also, would you want to see a sick Janet perform? If you’re coming to see someone perform, you want them to be healthy and have the energy to perform. Fans have been tweeting #FeelBetterJanet to the singer, and a fan also created a website that includes messages from other fans wishing her a fast recovery.
