Kelly Rowland Visits ‘The Real’ To Promote ‘Chasing Destiny’
Can’t believe there was not one question on new music. I understand her initial reason for visiting was to promote her upcoming show on BET. Still, before she walked out, Adrienne was naming her hit songs, from both her solo career and Destiny’s Child.
‘The Real’ talked with her about her character on Empire, her upcoming show, her baby, and about her teaming up with Plenti. I haven’t watched ‘Empire’ since the first two or three episodes from this season (2nd), though Adrienne complimented her on how well she did playing Lucious’s mother. She even explained how she got the part, saying Lee Daniels told her, “I know who you are, I know who you are,” referring to who she could play on ‘Empire.’
She’s also begun working on her upcoming show, ‘Chasing Destiny,’ where she’s searching for a new girl group. I like how she first-off explained, how she told the girls (who are trying out on the show) that she isn’t looking for drama. She’s looking for team leaders and team members. She said how we need to see more girls and women working together. Reality shows play a part in what Kelly is trying to say. She’s not looking for catfights and for glasses to be thrown. I plan to probably tune in. I wonder what the age range for the show is. I also wonder if Michelle (Williams) or Beyoncé would ever make an appearance on the show (considering they were in Destiny’s Child together).
