Chris Brown Complains About Fans Not Buying His Album
Chris Brown reposted the tweet below on his Instagram, before eventually deleting it, where a fan writes, “I'm confused how Chris can post a selfie of him & Royalty can get 200 - 300 likes, but some fan's wouldn't buy his s**t for 4.99 or stream.”
How many likes you receive on a photo has no relation to people buying your music. Just because I like a photo of yours doesn’t mean I’m a fan of yours. Also, it doesn’t charge you to like someone’s photo. I may like someone’s photo and not be a fan of them, such as Rihanna. I think Rihanna is a pretty woman, though I’m not a fan of her music. I may like a photo of hers, because I think she looks pretty in the photo or I may like what she’s wearing. It doesn’t exactly lead to me being a fan of that person or their music.
Chris should be grateful. In today’s music industry, 100K is considered well, especially considering he’s an R&B artist. We know R&B has had its highs and lows recently, but mainly lows. A lot of R&B artists wish they had what Chris has, in terms of sale predictions and supporters.
Just note that the amount of likes you receive on a photo is no indication of how many people will buy your album. His album isn’t worth wining about anyway. (I like five songs and that’s on the deluxe edition)
