Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Rihanna Performs "We Found Love (Rock Remix)" And "Diamonds" At DirecTV's Super Night Concert:

It turns out last night Rihanna headlined "DirecTV’s Super Saturday Night Concert" in Arizona. I honestly don't keep up much with Rihanna, in regards to musical apperances, but it definitely made a buzz on my timeline last night, as pictures and clips from the show surfaced. Not many clips have been released from the show, but it's been announced that she performed hits like, "We Found Love (Rock Remix)" and "Diamonds." Also, Rihanna brought a musical guest to the stage. That would be Kanye West.

From the videos that have surfaced, it seems like you would only have to be a Rihanna fan to actually be entertained, which is usually the case for most artist, but it seems like Rihanna hasn't really found her stage presence, as she walked back and forth on the stage, during various performances. If it wasn't much for Kanye West, I'm not exactly sure what the reactions would be for the performance. He mainly brought the hype to the show, based on my views.

If anything, we can definitely see the "FourFiveSeconds" artist has had some major improvement based on her vocal performance. Many laughed during the release of "FourFiveSeconds," as many didn't believe she had had any growth based on her vocal ability, but I definitely see a big difference, after watching some of the clips below. It seems like Rihanna is off to a good start in the new year musically, but that still doesn't say much, based on her confusing era of R8. Many still happen to question if the release of "FourFiveSeconds" was a buzz single, or a leading single for the 26 year old artist. It seemed like a perfect chance for Rihanna to perform the single live, which is why some still seem to question if this was honestly a single in the first place. Promo doesn't seem to be handled well for the single. This also raises an eyebrow on if she could be saving the promo for the Grammys, since it has been reportedly rumored that she would be performing the single at the event. Either way, based on the performances below, it's clear Rihanna is definitely read to tackle the track vocally. Just a little touchy on her stage presence as an artist.

There are also still a little worries with the performance to "FourFiveSeconds" if it actually happens, and that deals with Kanye West's half on this track. Many notice that Kanye does use autotune in the track, which could definitely have a few side-eyes in the audience, as we see how Kanye tackles the track. Rihanna could surprise many, and try to do the song solo. Still, this is just a rumor, so who knows? Well, overall something tells me that this era does have something to offer, so I'll definitely stay tuned in to what Rihanna has in plan!
