Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Announcement: Kanye West Executive Producing R8 + Chats About The Single, "FourFiveSeconds"

During a red carpet interview with "E! News," Kanye West confirmed that he would be executive producing Rihanna's eight studio album, and Kanye West also talked about Rihanna's leading single from "R8," FourFiveSeconds.

Kanye West announced that the song was originally for him, but he said that Rihanna had to have it. Now, I have no problem with "FourFiveSeconds," being a single, but the leading single? It really ruins what many fans have been anticpating about the album, and by no means, does this make a good comeback single for Rihanna. Sure, the media still seemed to talk about her throughout the years, but she never exactly released any new material.

After what I heard from Kanye West, on his latest studio album, "Yeezus," I'm not sure how I'll exactly feel about the direction Kanye West takes this album production-wise, but he may surprise. Kanye West has never really been known for following trends, or repeating trends, so he'll definitely have something creative under his sleeve. I mean, hopefully.. Kanye West was also asked if he knew any word on when the release of R8 was. Kanye West claims he didn't, and while many don't seem to believe Kanye West's side of the story, I think Kanye West is telling the truth. I thought this project was starting, months ago, but it seems like things are just beginning, so you never know when the release will be. I'm definitely believing that the release of this album will be later this year. Possibly around November, as many rumored last year, and I only say that, because I'm sure, after the release of the next single, Rihanna is gonna wanna do a lot of promotion for the singles, therefore it may take a while, before the release of the album. I also think the surprise album rumors should end, as it seems the whole vibe of this album, has died completely, just based on the leading single. Also, I don't think Rihanna is capable of releasing a secret album yet, after the recent sales of "FourFiveSeconds." Sure the sales are well, but not for an artist such as Rihanna. I'm still very excited for this album though, despite the leading single.
