Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Chris Brown And Tyga Perform "Ayo" On Fallon/ Tyga Performs To An Empty Arena On "BTS" Tour?

Recently, the  "Behind The Sheets" tour mates stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform their leading single off "Fan Of A Fan: The Album," Ayo.

Recently, I haven't been catching up with recent news from the duo, but I will say that this performance didn't interest me very much. During the performance, Tyga and Chris Brown exchange verses, as they treaded back and forth on the stage. Considering that this was my first time hearing the single, if I wouldn't have known about the upcoming release of their joint album, I would've definitely assumed that it was just another vulgar single release from Chris Brown. I wasn't too impressed with the track, as it just sounded like a leftover from one of Breezy's earlier projects, which doesn't come as a surprise as Nic Nac did produce tracks off of Chris Brown's "X."

Also, I didn't feel Tyga's enthusiasm throughout the performance. I think, possibly on a different platfrom, they could add more choreographers to the live perfomance, as the track is still considered catchy, and up-tempo, but I thought Tyga had a lack of interest, with the live performance for the single. Meanwhile, on tour, it seems like Tyga doesn't seem to be bringing in the targeted audience that Trey Songz and Chris Brown are looking for. It seems Tyga is encountering a "Keri Hilson" recently. See what we mean below:

The arena seem to fill up as Chris Brown and Trey Songz performed.

I think with the recent rumors regarding his relationship with Kylie Jenner has affected his success as an artist, majorly. I personally felt, even before the recent rumors, that having Tyga as an opening act, wouldn't have had such a great effect on the tour sales, as Tyga just isn't an artist that can bring in the crowd. I mean, most of the time an opening act, isn't even someone considered "mainstream," so I think Chris Brown and Trey were still on to a target, but then again, what's one single that Tyga has released? Then again, even if Tyga isn't bringing in much of an audience, I doubt Chris Brown and possibly Trey would have the guts to cut him off the tour, as he's really not bringing much to the table. Also, based on what I saw during his "Ayo" performance on the "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," it seems clear as daylight, that Tyga doesn't have much stage presence. Also, with the release of "Fan Of A Fan: The Album," coming soon, this is really bad publicity for both artist. As much of a fan as I am of Breezy, I just can't support this project, and that's nothing in regards to Tyga's recent troubles in the media, but mainly in regards to the quality of music.

Take a look at Chris Brown and Tyga's performance of "Ayo" below! "Fan Of A Fan: The Album" will be released on February 24th.
