Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Madonna Addresses "Boring" Beef With Lady Gaga/ "Reports" She Has A Plan To Stop The Rumors:

With the release of "Rebel Heart" next month, Madonna is on to her promotional campaign.

The 56 year old singer, recently chatted with "Rolling Stone," where the singer reflected on her previous "beef" with Lady Gaga. The "Living For Love" performer revealed, "I don’t think she wants my crown. We live in a world where people like to pit women against each other. And this is why I love the idea of embracing other females who are doing what I’m doing. It’s important for us to support each other. The only time I ever criticized Lady Gaga was when I felt like she blatantly ripped off one of my songs. It’s got nothing to do with “she’s taking my crown” or “she’s in some space of mine”. She has her thing. I do think she’s a very talented singer and songwriter. It was just that one issue. And everybody’s obviously running with it and turned it into a huge feud, which I think is really boring, quite frankly. And you know what?I don’t care anymore. Here’s the thing: one day everyone’s going to shut up about it. You’ll see! I have a plan."

Three years ago, Madonna considered the "Bad Romance" entertainer as "reductive." What I'm really curious to know is what Madonna exactly meant, when she said she had a plan. I mean, if anything, Madonna started this beef... the media just populated it. Of course, during the time Madonna deemed Lady Gaga as "Reductive," she was on the promotional trail of her previous effort, "MDNA." It's clear, that the media circulates around this beef, which is possibly why I think we can expect a lot from Madonna again, on her views toward Lady Gaga, and this past feud. It also seems as if Madonna isn't taking responsibilty in this, as she did have the media believe that there was some type of feud, between them.

Possibly I could be taking this out of proportion, therefore I don't really see Madonna doing anything, based on these rumors about her beef with Lady Gaga. I mean, she could've said that she wants the feud the end, but I somewhat believe that Madonna needs the publicity. If she circulates around this story, it'll get the media talking. Plus, her new material doesn't seem to be selling well, based on airplay. I mean, business-wise, Madonna is thinking smart. Sure, most have moved on, but she could possibly be on to something. Stay tuned in!

UPDATE: Despite that I don't follow Madonna on social media, I did manage to catch an IG post from Madonna, where the 56 year old singer wrote, "Did i say that?" referring to what she said about having a plan to stop the rumors, based on her feud with Lady Gaga. Either Madonna is being serious, meaning that Rolling Stone got the quote mistaken, or that Madonna is just trying to make something more than it isn't. OR.... She's trying to popularize this statement, because she has something in the works, which couldn't be anything big. (other then an apology) It doesn't seem like Lady Gaga is on any terms with Madonna. Good or bad..
