Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Welcome To Sweetie Pie's Recap: Moving Over To L.A., Ray J Appears, And Michelle Vs. Danielle Beef?

Who caught "Welcome To Sweetie Pie's" last night?

I actually didn't catch it, due to the fact that I was live-tweeting with Word To Your Music on the KCA’s, but I recently caught the show, because I sort of already had my schedule planned, with what I exactly planned on watching last night. While I didn’t catch all of the KCA’s, as I said, I think I saw enough, and as for Sweetie Pie’s, I got to record it last night. The episode was quite a mess, but not as bad as the previous episode. It seems Danielle and Michelle are still trying to resolve their relationship. It seems, on the previous episode Danielle lost her job, due to her snobby attitude. Because of this, Michelle and Danielle sat down, to talk about their feelings towards what happen last episode. Danielle was on to a nice start, as she apologized for her behavior, and even brought up the fact, that she was in the some kind of accident, before the argument. I believe, she said a car accident. Based on the previous episode, it seems Michelle called Danielle a child, when getting an attitude with her. I mean, it doesn’t seem as bad as you would think, but after revealing, that she does get tired of being called a child all the time, I can see her pain, especially since she is considered an adult.

I’m sure, that this isn’t the worst thing that can be said at your job, and I can imagine my boss saying something like that, if I got out of hand with my attitude, and after all, she is the youngest one at the restaurant. (Well, now maybe Charles, but I'll get to that..) I’m sure I’ve even heard my teachers say this to their students (call them a child), and sometimes it does come across as a little shocking, since they’re putting that particular student out of their name. It did seem a little unprofessional, but the whole idea of a restaurant having a reality show does too. I mean, has it ever come across to anyone, that this could also be putting a bad name to the business? I mean, customers are getting to see what this family business is like behind the scenes, and speaking of family, Charles has creeped his way back into the business, and promises that this time, he won’t let the family down. Oh, tell me something we haven’t heard.

Charles is just back to his old schemes, and I’m glad Ms. Robbie plans to be harder on him. After all, isn’t this like his 7th time asking for his job back? On top of that, after a short amount of time working there, he’s already asking for a raise? Oh, Charles.. He seems to be hard at work, but he also seems to be much of what my friends would call someone at school, a teacher’s pet. I mean, I understand him trying to gain his trust back with his family, as he’s failed numerous times with the business, but making Tim a cake? ..That was just random. Even after all that “work,” he already seems to be out of hand, based on the preview of the upcoming episode. After that, he’ll be asking his mother, to consider asking Ms. Robbie to give him his job back, as she’s done before. Whatever happen to the acting career Charles had in plans? He just seems too quick to give up, and it was actually nice not seeing him on the show for a while. I mean, it let me know he was doing good. This is a family business, and even after all these years, he doesn’t take the job serious? He can’t see Ms. Robbie and his Auntie T. (I believe that’s what he calls her) Anyway, he only sees his auntie, meaning that he doesn’t take this job serious, and I honestly wouldn’t either. He doesn’t see the seriousness in this job, because even if Ms. Robbie is hard on Charles, he knows that she can’t stop loving him after all, since they’re family. If my family had a family business, such as this, I could imagine working there as a job in my teen years, but growing up, to be 24, and still asking for a job there, seems desperate. I should be moving forward by then. As for Jenae, why does she still even have some part in this show? Even if Jenae is on good terms with Tim now, she still shouldn’t have any camera time on this show. What in the world? After letting go of Tim’s ring, that should’ve been the last we saw of her, and all she ever talks about now, is this new business she has, with Tim’s cousin, I believe. I mean, I understand she used to be Tim’s finance, but that keyword is “used” to. She’s irrelevant to the show now, even though Ms. Robbie still loves to see her. Whatever.. As for Ma’ri she surprisingly didn’t have as much camera time as you think, so thank god on that one. Actually to be honest, the only time I saw her, was when she was talking to Tim, about Ray J wanting to talk with him. They spoke on Tim moving Sweetie Pie’s to California. Ray J basically warned him, that a lot of the businesses, focused on staying healthy, which literally surprised me. Tim says, that he’s really nervous about the decision, and the fact that many of the businesses focus on health, leave him a little hesitate on if he wants to expand the business there, but Ms. Robbie seems to hold sentimental value with California, and she says it brings something unique to California. Even if Cali focuses on health, I doubt everyone there wants to eat healthy. Ray J actually wasn’t that bad, and this was my first time seeing him on a reality show, without getting a drink thrown at him.

I’m ready for the move to Cali, but it seems everyone else at the business is too. Even if everyone wants to move to Cali with Tim, how many are really going to have a source of transportation to get there, and the houses there are pretty costly. They may be on for the idea alone, but this takes planning as well. Everyone likes the idea of Cali, but they aren’t thinking behind the idea, or considering their family members. Right now, it’s a lot of pressure for Tim, because it seems all the employees want to move to Cali as well, for the business. I mean, what did he expect? The only question he asked was based on the weather, asking if his employees preferred the weather in St. Louis or California. Everyone said Cali. No questions on who had the money for transportation, shelter, or if anyone already had the plans for this whole move. Well, I wish Ms. Robbie and Tim the best with this business, and can’t wait to see how the business turns out for California. Tim already has plans of having celebrities such as Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Tom Cruise eating fried chicken. Oh, hold your horses! (lol)
