Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Announcement: Ciara Releases The Official Tracklisting For 'Jackie'/ Drops 'I Bet' Remix ft. T.I.

Recently, Ciara shared the tracklisting from her upcoming album, "Jackie."

It seems, Ciara will have guest apperances from both Pitbull and Missy Elliott on the album. I must say, while I am much of a fan of Ciara's previous material, nothing about this new album has really came to my attention or interested me. I mean, it has been much of an experimental process for Ciara currently. She's really trying new things with this upcoming album, which is why the album still has yet to really interest me. Still, Ciara is a very promising artist. "I Bet" did seem to take much growing, before I could admit that I liked the song. I mean, I do catch myself numerous times throughout the day singing to the track. Still though, this project hasn't really been revealed properly, especially considering that Ciara has only released one single, with a May 4th release.

If new material doesn't get released soon, the promo for this album is really going to be rushed, and one single alone, can't really bring in the successful sales for this album. I'm all for supporting artist, especially considering that Ciara has been in the music industry for 10 years, and still remains underrated for what she is worth. It's sad to say, but the only successful black female artist of today are Rihanna and Beyonce. Ciara has potential, and I would like to see her win this year, but she has to give me a reason to make me want her to win. Yes, her previous material was hot, but "I Bet" can't do it all by itself, regarding bringing in the sales toward the album. Neither can the features very much, and then on top of that, Ciara hasn't even released her collaborations with the featured artist. I've never once listen to a full album from Ciara. I mean, I've never had the interest, so I'm not too aware of her sound. I mean, some artist and their managment play it smart toward their single releases, while others don't, and what I mean by that, is that a particular artist could only have good songs, being their singles. The rest may not sound as well, basically like a 'singles' artist. Their singles are usually the only good songs on their album. Considering I've never really fully listen to a Ciara album, I don't know much regarding her sound, other than her singles. If anything, I have plans on purchasing the standard version, as remixes have never seem to exactly interest me, which is mainly the only difference regarding the deluxe.

Also, Ciara's previous album, was suppose to be titled "One Woman Army." Does this mean the track, "One Woman Army," was recorded some years ago, considering that was suppose to be the album title for her previous album? Since I do still see much potential towards this new album, I may consider pre-ordering.
