Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Janet Jackson Responds To Fans "Comeback" Pleas/ Sends Questionable Tweet To Crazed Fans?

I hate that everything said by Janet, always brings back the impression, that a new album is coming.

At this point, I'm sort of passed the point of really caring. Not to say, that I wouldn't mind an album from Janet Jackson, but no word has really been said from her about the release of an upcoming album, and she's always quick to deny the rumors, especially when sources say that a new album from her is coming soon. I just wish she really had her mind set on what she wanted to do, because at this point, quitting the music industry could be an option for Janet Jackson. Personally if she did want to make that decision, I wouldn't be mad. But at least make an announcement about it, instead of having fans anxiously waiting for the release of this much-anticipated album. I'm just hoping the media, accepts Janet Jackson, because she is still getting grief because of that  wardrobe malfunction at the Superbowl in 2004. Now everyday, an artist is seen half-nude during a photoshoot. I still don't understand why this would be such  a problem. No one has caught as much backlash as Janet's wardrobe malfunction. And it's sad, that people still hold a grudge about that. It's not as if the camera was zoomed in, during the moment Justin Timberlake tore the piece of her dress. If anything, why isn't Justin getting any grief after all these years?

I surprisingly say all of this, to say it seems Janet has finally responded to her fans! A fan reportedly sent Janet a "Missing Poster," where it seems, the fan is trying to find Janet. The fan hasn't been the same eversince, and other fans have even nominated her as President for the fan club, even I myself. Still though, I'm happy with the catalog of music I already have from her. Yes, I would love a comeback from Janet, but after seven years, that can put a lot of stress on an artist. The more years fans have to wait, the more they anticipate towards what to expect from the album. Also, we're aware it's hard of artist of Janet's age to sell. An artist's creativity and passion for a particular thing can easily die down. I'm just saying, if Janet has plans to quit, at least drop a warning, so these fans don't have to cut their heads off like chicken. Still, it's nothing I'm keeping on my mind currently, regarding music. I don't really care anymore, as I did earlier.

Congrats @MyVelvetRope. We're proud of this accomplishment, and we love you here at Flavor In The Street. I'm actually happy to say she follows me. (lol)

Also, everyone.. Janet Jackson recently took to twitter writing, "Letting go doesn’t mean you stop." What do you think Janet Jackson might be saying?
