Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Jennifer Lopez Performs Greatest Hits Medley/ Teases What To Expect From Las Vegas Residency?

It seems recently, Jennifer Lopez took to 'Ellen' where the singer opened up the talk show. The singer performed a medley of her greatest hits, including performances of songs like, "Jenny From The Block," "On The Floor," and "Love Don't Cost A Thing." If anything, Jennifer Lopez has had a lot of success over the years of her career, and this Vegas Residency may work out for her. I know many love J. Lo, and many know her worth as a performer. For Jennifer Lopez to be the age she is, that really puts a lot to perspective, because she puts many artist of the new generation to shame, performing-wise.

What I do like about Jennifer Lopez as a performer, is that she knows how to keep her breathing together when it comes to performing live. At certain portions of the performance, I noticed that Jennifer Lopez would sing-along with the backing track, to sort of help support her, while she was out of breath, which was a smart decision, because as a performer, it's hard to keep your breathing together, when you're releasing so much energy on stage. With a backing track, a singer has something to use as support. I personally say this is the only standard for using a backing track, because you have to consider both the age, and what she was doing on stage. I think this puts a lot of high hopes for the Vegas Residency. Jennifer is definitely someone the whole family could see, because she has that humble personality, meaning everyone likes her. She at least has one song, that everyone in the family know by her. Also, she's a respected artist in the music industry. This will definitely be a successful move for Jennifer Lopez's career.

Nice, J.Lo! Looks like I have another artist to convince my parents to take me to see.
