Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Tamia Hits 'Good Day New York' To Perform 'Sandwich And A Soda'/ Chats On The New Album:

Recently, Tamia hit 'Good Day New York' where the singer performed 'Sandwich And A Soda' live.

While watching the performance, I was quite impressed with how well Tamia sounded. If you wouldn't have known any better, you could've easily mistakened the live performance, for the studio version. This is just one artist, who I personally feel never gets the recognition she deserves as an artist, and from this performance alone, I can see Tamia really enjoys doing what she does. Just seeing her perform, and her having fun while on stage. The performance was very cool, and laid-back. This is such a happy era for Tamia, and of course, I could be nothing but happy for her.

I am quite disappointed that Tamia is only performing this, after the release of her album instead of during the single release, that way it could've recieved its high expectations for the album. Still, we do have a limited amount of platforms to help promote music, so I guess it's best taking it this route. I feel if Tamia would've performed her singles during their release, this would've created some type of buzz for each single, and the album in general. Still, it's clear that now Tamia is just doing music for the love of it itself, and this is such a great route. I've always said, if you love something so much that you could do it without being paid, you know this is the job for you, and not saying this exactly has any relation to this situation, but as an artist, I feel many should see this from this perspective, especially considering how times have changed for the music industry. I say this, because I can just see from Tamia's eyes that this is really something she loves to do, and she still continues to enjoy, meaning that I don't think she's seen singing from a different perspective, such as it only being about the money.  Still, I'm proud of Tamia, and plan to buy this album soon!

Be sure to grab her album, 'Love Life' in stores now!
