Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Janet Jackson Thanks Fans On New Snippet

Ready for a first taste of Janet Jackson's highly anticipated album?

The singer recently tweeted a clip, where the singer is seen singing about her appreciation for her fans for always remaining loyal to her. "I wanna tell you how important you are to me! Love J," Janet writes.

What are you waiting for? Check it out below!

I've been waiting for Janet's return for a while. As I said, I become a fan of Janet at a late stage, so when she did eventually become my favorite singer, it was weird because she wasn't exactly releasing material at the time. This was around the stage, she was touring for her 'Up Close And Personal' tour, and a little beforehand. I think we've established that Janet Jackson isn't a vocalist, but something about her voice just pleases me. I think she has a very silky, and smooth tone, which makes for great 'Quiet Storm' music, and of course no one can ever deny Janet's skills as an entertainer. I love that Janet just did something as simple, as singing a song about her fans. It means a lot that she does still acknowledge her fans. I mean, without them, she probably wouldn't be in the place where she is today. This was cute, and it's creepy how much she sounds like her brother Michael on this. As some have said, I can hear a vocal effect on the audio of this clip. It's not as clear to all, but very similar to the same vocal effect used on 'Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse.' (Nothing major, such as Britney's vocal effect) Overall though, hearing Janet's voice is so refreshing. Now, it's time to bring on the album!
