Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Chris Brown Premieres New Song, 'Liquor'/ Announces The Release Of Untitled Album In Fall?

Taking to 'The Breakfast Club,' Chris Brown premiered his new track entitled, "Liquor." In the song, Chris Brown sings about getting intoxicated, causing a girl to become more appealing to the singer as he croons, "There's something in this liquor girl, I'm looking at your figure woah I just want to see you strip right now, baby let me help you work it out, oh." I believe it's one of his strongest songs to the date production-wise, only because for a while his music sonically has been sounded quite similar to his previous works, but lyrically it's a bit tiring. I mean, the song has a similar scenario to his previous songs (going into a club, getting drunk, having sex)

The singer also exclusively announced to 'Billboard' that he would be releasing his seventh album this fall. Now, I personally enjoy Chris Brown's music, but I don't think this is a smart move. Chris Brown really hasn't given the media a chance to forget him. Some may see this as an attempt to stay relevant (considering Chris just released an album in February), but it wouldn't lead to a formula of success this time around. First of all, timing alone shows that the quality of this music won't likely be at its best, as Chris Brown is just coming from the release of two albums. Not only that, but the singer hasn't shown himself in the best light exactly. What fans of Chris Brown's want is a change. I mean, throughout interviews, Chris Brown always knows the right things to say. Many usually feel that this will lead to a change from the singer's previous actions, but he continues to repeat the same formula (Apologizes, and repeats the same mistake). A singer's image heavily influences the way people will look at someone's music, and many are just tired of Chris Brown at the moment. Chris Brown just needs to give the media a chance to erase his recent burdens, because his current actions will definitely mean a lack of support toward his upcoming project. While he keeps himself in the headlines, it's never in a positive way.

Maybe it's still best that Chris Brown surrounds himself with his music, but Chris Brown needs to learn how to back away from certain situations that could only lead to trouble. He just needs to rekindle a relationship with himself, so instead of constantly apologizing and promising to make a change, show it. And maybe at this rate, it's best Chris stays off social media as well. Hopefully, with a break Chris can release authenic music as well. Still, I'll always continually support Chris, because I see his worth. I try not to get too deep in his personal situations either while listening to his music, that way I won't draw myself away from listening.

Do you think it is a successful move for Chris to release his album this fall?
