Flavor In The Street

Hello World! Flavor In The Street was something I wanted to do, because I felt I had grown since my previous websites. I feel like I was seeing blogging from a different perspective. At one time, I saw this as more of something I did for fun, and I still continue to see blogging as this, but I also have grown a passion for it. I'm getting a platform, where I get to fully express my views on topics in music. I feel like my opinion is rarely heard, and I want to be viewed as the voice of my generation soon. We never get a platform to talk, and it's now just the beginning.

The idea of Flavor In The Street was just to restart my brand. I had gotten the idea of the title from one of my favorite shows, "Living Single" along with the slang, 'Word On The Street.' As many of you know, Khadijah James had owned a magazine company titled, "Flavor." I got the idea by combining the two, which later birthed 'Flavor In The Street.'

I'm quite a hard-working kid. I manage to keep my grades together, while running this blog. I've never quite looked into adding more writers to help grow the brand, but of course I'm open to trying new ideas. I plan to adventure quite a lot when I get older, and my taste in music varies.

Tamar Braxton And K. Michelle Rejoice From Beef/ Performs 'If Only You Knew' With Patti LaBelle:

Tonight, K. Michelle and Tamar Braxton performed together as a way of rejoicement from their three year beef.

As I said earlier, I was quite unaware of if Tamar initally meant they would be performing a song together or performing each of their own songs. Sadly, no new collabo was performed from the two, but K. Michelle and Tamar did perform each of their own singles. K. Michelle, opening up the performance with a sultry rendition of 'Hard To Do.' (Well.. more like an attempt) The singer wore a black trench coat, which she whittled down to a black bra and matching panties, along with sparkling stockings and knee high black boots. Tamar followed with a shaky rendition of 'If I Don't Have You.' The performance just seemed quite over the top, but hey.. That's Tamar.

(I've always seen Tamar Braxton is much of a studio singer, but she hasn't quite mastered performing live. That goes for both her facial expressions while performing, and performing in general. She always comes across as tense or nervous when it comes to performing. I just didn't feel that this put her talent in the best light, because I actually happen to love the song, but in all honesty, it does seem like a challenging song to perform live)

I just felt the performance was a little strained vocally. It didn't exactly show Tamar in the best light vocal-wise. Following the performance brought the rejoicing of Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle as the two performed 'If Only You Knew' by Patti LaBelle, which then brought Patti, herself on stage to perform with K. Michelle and Tamar. Like the true queen she is, she showed up and showed out. It was beautiful seeing them all together to perform.

Also, did anyone hear the beautiful high note Tamar hits at the end of the 'If Only You Knew' performance?
