YG Blames Def Jam For Leaking “Red Friday” Early
YG’s mixtape, “Red Friday” was intended to be released on Friday, but was leaked 12 hours prior on his official Audiomack account. The rapper ranted on Twitter, accusing his label, Def Jam of the mixtape being leaked early.
He's had disagreements with the label before, which his A&R Sickamore told on ItsTheReal's podcast:
The eight-track effort includes appearances from 21 Savage, Mitch, and RJmrLA. On Friday, YG was in Oakland, Calif. at a meet-and-greet for fans who purchased the album for $100. Aside from the overpriced physical copy, it is also available for free stream and digital download.
