Ameriie Visits “The Breakfast Club”/ Talks About Her Anthology, New EP & Sexism
Charlamagne Tha God joked on how it’s been years since the public has heard from Ameriie. The singer appeared on “The Breakfast Club” and spoke about sexism, her popular record, “1 Thing” and what she’s been up to recently. Hesitantly, she said that she has a new EP titled, “Drive” which will be released on Friday. She also shared that she has a passion for writing, as she’s working on an anthology. Angela Yee added that the singer has a deal with Bloomsbury Publishing. Ameriie also has a YouTube channel, where she embraces the bookworm that she is.
Beyoncé was brought up numerously throughout the interview. The “Take Control” singer was asked if she felt sonically “1 Thing” influenced other artists, such as Beyoncé. Beyoncé worked with the “1 Thing” producer, Rich Harrison on a few songs on B’Day including Suga Mama and Freakum Dress. Ameriie however handled those questions well. She’s an intelligent young lady, which you can see in the interview below.
