Yuna Visits WBLS/ Talks About Background, Pharrell, And Usher Controversy
Rising artist, Yuna is on the scene for her breakout single, "Crush" which features Usher. The singer sat down with radio host, Deja Vu to share her background, relationship with Pharrell, and Usher controversy.
She was intending on becoming a lawyer, however she garnered interest in becoming a musician when she made friends with musicians. Yuna was already in law school, and it left her in a difficult position. "I thought, I don't know should I quit or focus on music full-time," the singer asked herself. She decided to finish law school and later pursued a music career. Her parent were also supportive of her decision.
Regarding Pharrell, Yuna said that it was a cool experience meeting him and that she's grateful for the records the two collaborated on together.
The singer also spoke on the controversy of Usher hugging her. Yuna is Malaysian, and she shares that where she's from the action is conservative. Hear more from the interview below:
