Although “Jump Out The Window” is the next single from Big Sean’s chart-topping album, “I Decided” the rapper released a music video to the Jeremih-assisted track, “Light.” No pun intended, however Sean sheds light on police brutality and other senseless acts in the powerful visuals.
Directed by Lawrence Lamont, it opens with the Detroit rapper driving in a white van. A drive-by shooting occurs and a little girl gets caught in the crossfire. More violence takes place as two unarmed young black men are shot by the police. A woman wearing a hijab also becomes victim to a hate crime stabbing.
In the ending, they emerge from the white van and are lifted into the sky, along with Sean.
“This song isn’t a single but is still super important to me, so I paid for a lot of this outta pocket to make sure we got this out,” he explained. “Rest in peace to all those who have lost life due to senseless actions. As I always say, each one of us have the power to make a change, it starts within….the inner Light.”
