Following her theatrical BET Awards performance, Tamar Braxton unleashes the dramatic video for her latest single, “My Man.” The black-and-white clip visualizes the story of her parents' infidelity issues. The R&B songstress discovers that her man is cheating on her with a friend and finds the hotel where the two of them are. Braxton then releases her rage on the friend and her man.
The ballad is the lead single to Braxton's upcoming album, which will be released through Tamartian Land Records and Entertainment One.
I've seen the independent route happen before and it typically doesn't result in success. It seems promising as there's more freedom for the artist, but there are challenges. For Tamar, it's evident there's a change in budgeting as this video looks poor. The acting was also very unconvincing. Fortunately, the song can carry itself as the video does little justice.
