The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards are set to take place on August 27th and Kendrick Lamar is the latest act added to the performance roster. MTV used a promo to announce this bit of news on Thursday evening. Boasting eight nominations at this year’s show, Kendrick is joining a line-up that already includes The Weeknd, Fifth Harmony, Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Shawn Mendes, and Katy Perry, who will also serve as host. K-Dot is up for a series of Moon Persons this year, including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Visual Effects, and Best Choreography.
The MTV VMAs will air live from The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Sunday (Aug. 27).
