Sabrina Claudio Criticized For Racist Social Media Comments/ Apologizes For “Past Ignorance”

After past tweets of Sabrina Claudio’s use of the n-word emerged, it was unearthed that the rising singer once had a troll Twitter account, @ODamnYourUgly, where she disparaged black women. Screenshots were posted of Claudio’s tweets on the incognito Twitter account, as well as a screenshot from Instagram that reportedly finds her using the derogatory phrase “sweaty chonga.”

Claudio apologized for her “past ignorance” after some of her old tweets resurfaced. “I am deeply sorry for the insensitive words I’ve used,” she wrote in a Twitter statement. “Some of the things you are seeing are true while others aren’t.” Sabrina Claudio did not clarify which of the screenshots were legit, but she apologized for hurting others. “I realize my past ignorance is affecting people I care so much about and I am sorry,” she wrote. “I’ve made mistakes and while I cannot take them back, I will learn from them.”
