Report: Janet Jackson To Collaborate With Bruno Mars On New Album

Unlike her secrecy, Janet Jackson has teased that she’s began working on new music via publications and social media. Reportedly, Jackson is enlisting Bruno Mars for her upcoming album. Mentioning the 24k Magic hitmaker to Billboard magazine, she shared her infant son’s interaction with his music and her admiration for his artistry. “Bruno is a throwback to the days when the greatest artists could do it all: write, sing, dance, produce,” she said in the publication’s May issue.

An insider said Bruno was elated upon finding out that his icon was a fan of his work. The source said: “The pair have been friends for a while but decided now is the perfect time for them to collaborate after catching up at the Billboard Music Awards. Bruno was raised on Janet’s music and was floored when he found out that she was a fan.”

“They speak on the phone often and have penciled dates in to record tracks for Janet’s next album.”

Jackson, who resides with her one-year-old Eissa in London, is expected to record the single with Mars in the city with her longtime production duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
