Speculation of a Living Single reboot has arisen after castmates Erika Alexander and Kim Coles have teased its development. When discussing the trend of reboots during her appearance on The Breakfast Club, Alexander didn’t have an assured response towards revisiting her role as Maxine Shaw in the ‘90s sitcom. “Just a matter of maybe because I do come from orphans and my father did pass, that you don’t get tomorrow. Today is it,” she said.
Alexander appeared to have a change in her position as on Monday (July 30) she hinted at a revival of Living Single via Instagram with a witty pun. “Anyone know how to reboot this,” she questioned while pointing to her.
In addition, Kim Coles added fuel to the buzz by telling ET: “[Queen Latifah’s] been talking, listen what [I’d] love to say is that I have been neither contacted nor contracted. However, something is happening next month that I cannot talk about and that’s all I’m gonna say. That’s all I can say. The six of us together; a reboot-ish. That’s all I can say.”
A reunion of some sort is definitely in the works. Would you tune into a Living Single reboot?
